One of the biggest attractions to employees for working remotely is the ability to organise their schedule around their personal life. But to get the most out of working hours, remote workers need tremendous discipline to ensure work is completed and deadlines are met.
Without colleagues around them to call upon to solve problems, remote workers need to be able to troubleshoot. Critical thinking skills are a must. When a problem arises, they need to be able to research solutions and show initiative to resolve it.
